Webb Garrison, Ph.D. is a Clinical Psychologist who has been practicing and teaching for over 25 years and supervising since 2003.  Dr. Garrison offers a range of psychotherapeutic services, from individual to couples and family therapy.  Deeply interested in spirituality, holistic medicine and the arts, Dr. Garrison works in an integrative, multi-dimensional way.  He treats a spectrum of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement, adjustment issues, medical and somatic concerns, as well as identity and spiritual issues.

The foundation of Dr. Garrison’s approach to therapy is rooted in a deep, intuitive engagement of the complexity, dignity, and uniqueness of every person and how each of us has to navigate through challenges and difficulties at different times in our lives. As humans, we have the opportunity to develop our consciousness in ways that both help us deal with concrete challenges and evolve toward greater connection and health. When we ignore and/or neglect critical aspects of our lives and ourselves, suffering results.  Psychotherapy provides a sacred space for attending to such suffering.

Dr. Garrison believes that we are largely moved in life towards a deeper sense of meaning, connection and wholeness. Engaging life consciously, finding inspiration and living creatively facilitates this and helps us live within connection while striving toward our highest potentials and possibilities.

In his over 25 years of practice, Dr. Garrison has worked in a variety of settings including community mental health, psychiatric hospitals, child welfare/foster care, skilled nursing and rehabilitation, and private practice.  He has taught both graduates and undergraduates and served as the academic dean at Southwestern College, a graduate institution for training Mental Health Counselors and Art Therapists in Santa Fe, NM.  Prior to his doctoral training at the Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies at Adelphi University, Dr. Garrison earned a B.A. in Religious Studies at Davidson College in North Carolina.

His areas of specialty include the integration of spirituality, philosophy, education, and psychology, exploring states and nature of consciousness, using interpersonal relationships as a means of facilitating healing, and the role of creativity in healthy, balanced living.

In addition to his work as a Psychologist, Dr. Garrison plays and composes music for the piano and retreats into the arms of nature, as time allows.
